With a goal of helping physicians make better, more informed medical decisions, JFK has a commitment to using state-of-the-art medical technologies including those in diagnostic imaging.
64 Slice CT: The 64 Slice CT, an advanced CT scan, is ideal cardiovascular, neuro, pediatric, and lung imaging, offering speed of imaging and superior diagnostic information. With increased frames and transfer rates, patient time on the table is decreased while the technology offers superior quality in diagnostic information.
Interventional Radiological Services: Interventional radiology goes beyond providing diagnostic information. Utilizing diagnostic X-rays, CT scans and ultrasound, interventional radiology employs various invasive radiology techniques to diagnose and treat an array of conditions.
Analog and Digital Mammography: A Mammogram is a low-dose X-ray of the breast that uses CAD (computer aided technology) to to detect breast abnormalities that, otherwise, may be too small to detect during a clinical examine.
The Imaging Center at JFK offers a range of diagnostic capabilities, including:
- Diagnostic X-ray
- CT scan
- Nuclear Medicine
A series of other diagnostic services are offered through the Breast Center:
- Analog and Digital Mammography
- Breast Ultrasound
- Stereotactic and Ultrasound Core Breast Biopsy
- Bone Densitometry
- Nurse Navigation
