When faced with an emergency, it is important to be prepared. That means knowing the location of an emergency department that is staffed for the needs of your entire family.

For injuries and illnesses that can't wait for your personal doctor, the emergency department at JFK Medical Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our team of physicians and nurses are specially trained in emergency medicine, which means they are ready to treat just about any medical emergency.

JFK Medical Center is committed to delivering high quality, state-of-the-art medical care in a comfortable and nurturing atmosphere. The Emergency Department -- by nature one of the most hectic and stressful areas of any hospital -- sustains this commitment through a dedicated team of physicians and nurses who provide compassionate, quality care to the patients who come to them in times of need.

Handling more than 60,000 patients each year, nurses and physicians staffing the Emergency Department are skilled in making rapid assessments and providing expert treatment in a wide variety of cases.

Setting the Standard for Emergency Treatment

Our private emergency rooms are equipped with some of the most advanced technology available for diagnostics and treatment. Our 46,500 square foot space has 70 patient care treatment areas with walls and doors for privacy, safety, and comfort. We offer a comprehensive on-site laboratory, a radiology department, bedside registration, triage and treatment rooms for minor cases, and dedicated patient parking. And, of course, you have the wide range of services offered at JFK Medical Center if further treatment is needed.

The Pediatric Emergency Department at JFK

Our patients come in all sizes.

But an emergency room can be a scary place for a child. The sights, the sounds, and the commotion can all be overwhelming. That's why JFK Medical Center offers a state-of-the-art pediatric emergency department that is geared toward the comfort of children and their parents. The pediatric ER also has a separate, private entrance so that children won't be exposed to adult health care emergencies that might overwhelm or frighten a youngster.
