The Day Accommodations Center (DAC) admits and cares for patients from adolescents to adults who are undergoing a same-day surgical or diagnostic procedure, including: endoscopy, dermatological, eye laser, minor surgery, cardiac and radiological procedures, and prostatron treatment for enlarged prostate. At the DAC, a staff of registered nurses completes the patient's preparation for surgery. Following surgery and recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit, patients return to the DAC for a brief observation period, during which time their vital signs are monitored. Patients are then discharged to a responsible adult to be escorted home. The Center features state-of-the-art endoscopy equipment as well as instantaneous reporting technology.

Prostatron
JFK Medical Center provides prostatron treatment for the benign enlarged prostate. Benefits of this microwave therapy include fewer side effects for the patient. Referral from a qualified JFK urologist is required. For more information call 732.321.7932.
