The dietitians at JFK Medical Center are registered with the American Dietetic Association and work with patients and the general public, providing nutritional education and information. Inpatients can select from a wide variety of meals (and, Kosher, Indian and vegetarian foods are available upon request). All meals are prepared on site and nutritional counseling for patients and their families is provided with a physician order.
Community residents can access nutrition and weight loss services on an outpatient basis with a physician referral. Weight loss classes for the general public are held several times throughout the year.

Promomote optimal nutrition for individuals suffering from common digestive disorders and food allergies.
Women's Nutrition Providing nutritional advice to meet the unique dietary needs of women from pregnancy through menopause.
Oncology Nutrition Nutritional counseling for meeting the special needs of individuals undergoing cancer treatment and for cancer survivors who wish to maintain optimal health.
Sports Nutrition Recreational atheletes and competitive athletes can learn how their diet can boost their athletic performance.
Vegetarian Nutrition Want to become a vegetarian? Learn how to plan a diet that will meet your nutritional needs.
Family Nutrition Learning positive eating habits in childhood can promote wellness and prevent childhood obesity.
