Nursing Professionals at JFK Medical Center732.321.7617
The Inpatient Care Units at JFK Medical Center are staffed by Professional Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Patient Care Technicians (PCT’s), under the direction of a Nurse Manager. The RN’s assess patient needs, provide individualized care 24 hours a day, from admission to discharge, and serve as patient advocates. The LPNs and PCT’s assist in the provision of daily nursing care through delegation by the Professional Registered Nurse. The overriding goal of the Professional and Ancillary staff is to provide an environment that maximizes the care delivery and achievement of all the health goals of the patient. The Nursing Department employs advanced practice nurses -- such as Clinical Nurse Specialists and Nurse Practitioners -- who provide additional skills in the management of healthcare, education, counseling services, and highly-specialized care delivery.

At JFK Medical Center, a significant number of Professional Registered Nurses have achieved national certification in their respective specialties - such as Emergency Care, Critical Care, Perioperative, Maternal/Child, Oncology, Medicine, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation and Neurology.
