The Admitting Office is here to assist patients and physicians, with extneded hours to ensure easy access. The office provides information on and forms for advance directives, which are written documents outlining a patient's health care wishes should he/she become unable to communicate coherently.

All scheduled admissions are pre-certified/verified by the staff prior to admission to help patients comply with insurance regulations. Credit representatives are available from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Financial assistance for hospital services is offered to qualified applicants through the New Jersey Hospital Care Assistance Program. Eligibility requirements and information can be obtained by calling the hospital's care assistance representatives Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 732.321.7534 or 732.321.7000, extension 2838.

Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) 


To help prepare patients for admission, tests and procedures - such as a physical exam, blood work, urine specimen, EKG or X-ray -- may be performed within two weeks of hospital admission. Appropriate tests are ordered by physicians and performed in the PAT department or other departments within JFK Medical Center. Preoperative education and teaching materials are also provided. Parking for PAT is available in the JFK Emergency Department lot, or as directed by JFK Security. Pre-Admission Testing is performed Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. by appointment. For patient inquiries and additional information, the department can be contacted at 732.321.7155, Monday through Friday, 2:00 to 7:00 p.m..
