heerful, with two solariums in each wing. A large, beautiful all-purpose room serves as an exquisite dining area, complete with flowers and music during lunch and dinner. Between meals, the room is transformed into a hub of activity where recreational events take place to keep residents active. There are plenty of areas for socializing with family or other residents, including a lobby and several lounges. Tastefully appointed bedrooms are comfortably furnished. Outdoors, residents enjoy fresh air, lovely grounds and a variety of events, including barbecues and parties in the shade and comfort of trees and umbrellas.

JFK Hartwyck at the Edison EstatesHartwyck at Edison Estates is the most recent addition to the Hartwyck family. The

first unique feature a visitor will notice when arriving at the facility is a gazebo
on the well-tended front lawn for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. Bedrooms offer comfort and style, dining areas are cheery, and, as in all the JFK Hartwyck long-term care facilities, the activities program is exceptional. Residents also enjoy interacting with community members through programs such as Game Night, during which junior volunteers compete with residents in games such as Scrabble, rummy and checkers. JFK Hartwyck at Edison Estates also offers the JFK Subacute Care Center which, together with the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, provides rehabilitation to adult patients who have been stabilized in an acute-care setting, but do not require the intense and more expensive services delivered by an acute-care hospital or rehabilitation facility. Patients stay at the center between three weeks and three months, at which time they receive individualized treatment by a team of physiatrists, nurses, social workers and therapists. Wound care and infusion therapies also are offered. Patients have access to a full spectrum of medical disciplines if the need should arise.
