Taking the Journey Together
We understand that cancer is frightening, but it’s a lot easier to face the challenge when you have dedicated oncology staff at JFK Medical Center guiding you and your family every step of the way. Our comprehensive, nationally recognized oncology program offers a full continuum of services, from diagnosis through treatment and recovery. While the road may be long, it need not be far. JFK Medical Center is committed to providing exceptional quality cancer care where you need it most, in your own community.
JFK is one of only 30 percent of hospitals nationwide to be accredited by the Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. This is a testament to the excellent quality of care we deliver.
JFK Medical Center is dedicated to advancing knowledge and enhancing care by creating a collaborative environment focused on the prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer to improve quality of life for patients and survivors. We offer a full complement of comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services – advanced, state of the art diagnostic equipment, pathology, surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, stereotactic radiosurgery, and investigational clinical trials. In 2014 JFK completely renovated our Inpatient Oncology unit, which includes 15 beds and an infusion unit. The renovation not only provided for two additional private rooms, but also ensured that all the rooms were more spacious, comfortable and welcoming not only for the patients, but their families, as well. Our Outpatient Infusion Unit is a ten chair unit. It is an innovative, state-of-the-art facility where you can receive intravenous infusions and therapeutic injections in a safe, professional and comfortable environment. Infusion Unit is open seven days a week, from 8am to 5pm.
The JFK Neuroscience Institute and The Breast Center are two premier service programs offered at JFK. JFK Medical Center is also an affiliate of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey which provides the patients an opportunity to participate in clinical trials. And for a holistic comprehensive approach to patient care, JFK provides complimentary therapies to support the diverse needs of cancer patients, including oncology certified nursing care, nutritional care, discharge planning, outpatient services, counseling, and palliative and hospice care.
