It also sponsors many volunteer initiatives such as a library cart, talking books (books on tape) and a geriatric aid program.

In addition to fund raising, the Auxiliary maintains a strong commitment to JFK's patients and the community through a variety of programs, including Health Education, Organ Donor Awareness, Patient Library Services, Gift Shop, Nursing Home Activities Program, Geriatric Aid Program, and Scholarship Programs. The Auxiliary also supports JFK's community Breast Cancer Awareness Program.

The Auxiliary funds scholarships at local high schools and colleges for students interested in continued studies in health-related or science disciplines. Additionally, it participates in community awareness campaigns. The Auxiliary welcomes new members to assist in these many important hospital and community programs.
