Quality and Safety
In keeping with our mission to be the provider of choice for the residents in the communities we serve, our Quality and Patient Safety Program is founded on evidence-based best practices, teamwork, and the idea that we are always striving to provide the best care in the safest environment. Quality of care and patient safety is embedded in our culture, so everyone works together to provide a safe environment of care.
JFK Medical Center's purpose is to deliver excellent care to every patient we serve. We are continually working to improve our clinical performance and advance patient safety and quality of care. This is why we have embraced a culture of transparency that demonstrates measurable outcomes.
The quality and safety measures on this page represent areas of concentration for JFK. Some measures are specific to a hospital service such as stroke care, heart care, or surgical care. Other measures are hospital-wide, such as Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infections, Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections, Pressure Ulcers, and Falls. Some of these measures also appear on the CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) Hospital Compare Web site.
