Founded in 1967, JFK Medical Center is a non-profit 498-bed community hospital, serving residents of Middlesex, Union and Somerset counties in Central New Jersey. With more than 900 affiliated physicians, JFK offers a complete array of advanced services including general and specialized surgery, cardiac care, maternity and pediatric care, and emergency medicine. JFK Medical Center is an affiliate of JFK Health System and accredited by the Joint Commission.

As one of the state’s major healthcare facilities, JFK has a proud tradition of clinical excellence in numerous medical and surgical specialties, including two world-class institutes under one roof - The JFK New Jersey Neuroscience Institute and the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. The NJ Neuroscience Institute has been rated as the number one hospital in New Jersey for the treatment of stroke and complex neurological disorders.  The JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute has received a national designation in rehabilitation medicine and traumatic brain recovery.

JFK continues our history of innovation and growth with recent facility investments including a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory (for elective and emergency angioplasty), enhanced digital mammography at the JFK Breast Center, and the new comprehensive JFK Center for Wound Healing.

Targeted for completion in the winter of 2013, JFK Medical Center is constructing a brand new and expanded Emergency Department Pavilion that will replace our increasingly busy emergency room. The plan calls for constructing a three-story, 80,000-square-foot addition above the existing Emergency Department site.
